                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING DALTON
                   STREET LOCATED NORTHEAST FROM FRAZIER AVENUE,
                   NORTHWEST OF BARTON AVENUE, MORE PARTICULARLY
                   DESCRIBED HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned Dalton Street located northeast from Frazier 
Avenue,
         northwest of Barton Avenue, more particularly described herein, 

         and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by
         reference:
                Part of Dalton Street, a 40 foot wide unopened
                right-of-way, said part of street beginning on the
                northeast line of Frazier Avenue some 78 feet
                northwest of the intersection of the northeast line
                of Frazier Avenue with the northwest line of Barton
                Avenue, thence northwest some 42 feet with Frazier
                Avenue to the northwest line of Dalton Street,
                thence northeast some 66 feet with the northwest
                line of Dalton Street, thence southeast some 41
                feet to the southeast line of Dalton Street, thence
                southwest some 45 feet with the southeast line of
                Dalton Street to the northeast line of Frazier
                Avenue, the point of beginning.  Tax Map No. 135E-K
                and M.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
